Conidia are strengthening both their technical and sales team and are delighted to announce the appointment of Jay Patel & Andrew Rushton
As we continue to expand and innovate into new markets, the Conidia Bioscience team are here to help customers with the very best solutions for monitoring and addressing their microbiological contamination issues in their fuel supply chain. With the arrival of Jay Patel we have a new focus point to bring together all aspects of our product and service innovations, and benefit from the wealth of experience he brings in successful product development. Andrew Rushton is an aerospace industry veteran with more than 38 years of experience within various sub-sectors of the aerospace industry to bring to our Commercial Aviation customers and distributor partner team.
Jay Patel
Head of Innovation
Jay is an experienced front end innovation professional with a proven track record of delivering successful innovations in the consumer health and medical device industry. During his 25-year professional career, he has held senior positions in a diverse range of organisations from start-ups to large co-corporates to academia. Jay is a biosensors expert by training with a PhD from Imperial College and Postdoctoral training from Cambridge University in the field of biosensors. A significant part of Jay’s career was spent with Philips where he was responsible for creating disruptive innovations taking these from idea to market launch. Jay is a passionate advocate of an Open Innovation approach and brings with him a strong network of world leading key opinion leaders in the fields of biosensors and microbiology.
As Head of Innovation Jay will be responsible for driving the innovation strategy for Conidia and delivering innovations that ensure Conidia remains at the forefront of rapid fuel microbiology testing.
Andrew Rushton
Sales Manager - Commercial Aviation
Andrew’s career began in 1983 as an aircraft Maintenance Planning Engineer for Dan Air, the UK’s largest independent airline at the time. In subsequent years, Andrew has held a number of airline and airframe MRO technical management positions, and served as an Aerospace and Airports Advisor for the UK government Department for International Trade. More recently, Andrew transitioned into Sales and Business Development roles with a number of Tier 1 OEMs including Boeing, BAE Systems, B/E Aerospace and Thales, and has extensive international sales experience. A member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Andrew has most recently worked as Head of Business Development for AD Aerospace, a manufacturer of aerospace video surveillance equipment.
Andrew will be responsible for the strategic management and growth of global sales of FUELSTAT to the Commercial Aviation industry sector, encompassing commercial airlines and airframe MRO facilities. His own personal experience and deep understanding of these industry sub sectors will ensure that our Commercial Aviation customers receive the highest level of advice and support.
